As the founder of Drake & Co. Medical Practice Consulting, my mission is to get to know my clients, their problems, and needs, and offer expertise to make them feel at peace with solutions. My deep administration and operations background spans HR, compliance, billing management, and work flow analysis, all impacting the business side of growing or opening a new practice.
My Experience
I have worked in the healthcare business for 30 years. During this time I've enjoyed managing all business aspects of a small private practice including; hiring, resolving patient issues, implementing an EMR system, onboarding physicians, working with insurance companies, addressing updates with coding and billing, managing inventory, cash flow, equipment purchasing, addressing legal and accounting issues, and JCAHO certification, among other duties.

I've worked with physicians in small to medium sized practices in the following areas: Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Integrative Medicine, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Behavioral Health, Podiatry, and Orthopedics.

I am also a Young Adult Fiction Author of The Eden Project Series; The Eden Project, The Crescent File, The Xf Profile (work in progress). The series is an adventure/medical thriller. Writing is a part of who I am, as I enjoy the creative process.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my two sons and my black lab. I'm an avid outdoor athlete and enthusiast. I am a passionate runner, cyclist, and swimmer, and enjoyed competing in marathons and triathlons. I'm a certified running coach and a lifetime golfer and skier. I thoroughly enjoy the energy I gain from helping others.
